Laboratories for Tolima
55 coffee-growing families
Benefit directly from these laboratories.
We are working with the Café Agrario and Amucaflome associations to strengthen their technical, operational, and commercial capabilities through the “Laboratories for Tolima” project, directly benefiting 55 coffee-growing families. This process included workshops with leaders and managers, updates to the operating manual for collection centers, and training in sensory quality, with the aim of standardizing processes, improving coffee traceability, and further strengthening quality control.
As part of this effort, we also promoted more organized management aligned with sustainability standards and specialty coffee markets.
This collaborative effort helped consolidate key tools and knowledge so that the associations can continue to strengthen their operations and move toward greater commercial autonomy.
Thanks to the support of Siruma Coffee and Falcon Coffees, and in coordination with the municipal government, the necessary equipment was donated to set up quality laboratories for both associations. This equipment included a roaster, sample grinder, water filters, cups, spoons, trays, and technological tools, transforming the collection centers into strategic spaces for analyzing coffee quality, identifying its potential, and generating better marketing opportunities.
